Start Date: 25.09.2024 Application Deadline: 22.09.20241BackgroundOverall Objectives The project s overarching aim is to enhance the socio-economic inclusion of Roma communities in the Western Balkans and Türkiye through targeted interventions that focus on:Enhanced Roma-owned business growth and innovation: The project provides essential support to Roma entrepreneurs, including training, financial assistance, and access to networks, to stimulate the growth and innovation of Roma-owned businesses, thereby increasing their economic resilience and sustainability.Strengthened multi-stakeholder collaboration on Roma inclusion initiatives: By promoting partnerships among governments, civil society organizations, and international agencies, the project aims to create a more coordinated and effective approach to Roma inclusion, ensuring that policies and programs are inclusive and responsive to the needs of Roma communities2ObjectiveThe organization is seeking to recruit qualified Local Dissemination and Outreach Officers to support the dissemination and outreach activities of the Regional Business CentersThese officers will play a key role in ensuring effective communication with local communities, stakeholders, and the general public, promoting the visibility and impact of the Regional Business Centers’ initiatives.3Scope of WorkThe Local Dissemination and Outreach Officer will be responsible for the following tasks:Dissemination Activities:Develop and implement dissemination strategies tailored to the specific needs and context of the Regional Business Centre.Manage both internal and external dissemination of information related to the Centre’s activities, ensuring consistent and effective messaging.Coordinate the production and distribution of outreach materials, including newsletters, brochures, press releases, and social media content.Community Engagement:Actively engage with local communities and stakeholders to foster strong relationships and encourage participation in Regional Business Centre activities.Organize and facilitate community meetings, workshops, and events to promote the Centre’s work and gather feedback from local stakeholders.Serve as the primary point of contact for community inquiries and concerns, ensuring timely and appropriate responses.Stakeholder Relations:Identify and establish partnerships with key local stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, business groups, and media outlets.Maintain regular communication with stakeholders to keep them informed of the Centre’s activities and opportunities for collaboration.Monitor and report on stakeholder engagement activities, including tracking participation and measuring the impact of outreach efforts.Reporting and Documentation:Prepare regular reports on dissemination and outreach activities, highlighting successes, challenges, and areas for improvement.Document best practices and lessons learned to inform future outreach strategies.Contribute to the development of case studies and success stories that demonstrate the impact of the Regional Business Centre’s work.4Qualifications and ExperienceEducation:A degree in Communications, Public Relations, Social Sciences, or a related field is preferred.Experience:A minimum of 3 years of experience in community outreach, public relations, or a similar role.Proven track record of successful engagement with community groups and stakeholders.Experience working within the context of regional development, business support, or similar initiatives is an advantage.Skills and Competencies:Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage diverse audiences.Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a part-time role.Proficiency in using digital communication tools, including social media platforms and email marketing software.Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and flexibility.Fluency in both written and spoken English and Turkish is required.5Working ConditionsThe position is based in Izmir, Turkey with occasional travel to other regions as needed.This is a part-time position with a 50% workloadWorking hours are flexible, but the officer must be available to attend key meetings and events
