İlan Detayları JOB DESCRIPTIONCommunity and Youth Officer National PositionConcern Worldwide is a non-governmental, international, humanitarian organization dedicated to the reduction of suffering and working towards the ultimate elimination of extreme poverty in the world’s poorest countriesConcern has been working in Turkey since August 2013 and currently looking for a qualified Education Manager National Position.Job IdentificationJob Title                              Community and Youth OfficerLocation                             Hatay, Türkiye, with extensive travel to the fieldReporting line                   Education ManagerResponsible for                NALiaises with                       All staffContract Type                   Fixed TermContract Length               6 months until 31.10.2024Vacancy VN Number     TR2024-006 This is a 6 months role based in Hatay, Türkiye with a net salary range between 1610-1675 USD per monthThe salary range provided in this job posting does not constitute any legally binding obligation or undertaking by Concern Türkiye, and final salary amount will be decided mutually by Concern and the employee, which may be lower or higher than the abovementioned salary bandJob Purpose:Community and Youth Officer will be responsible for engagement with refugee communities in Hatay and will support Implementing Partners’ community and youth engagement activities in Adıyaman and Malatya provinces under Education and WASH Sectors, supported by ECHOThe role will lead the implementation of community-led activities and meetings, community committee capacity development trainings and assist the Implementing Partners’ engagement with youth via meetings, trainings and youth-led activities.The project activities are as follows:Reaching out and mobilizing communities and youth to raise awareness on education and school enrolment,Facilitating of education access among refugee children after earthquake response context, including identification of out-of-school children, service mapping and targeted enrolment support,Caregiver engagement CGE sessions for promoting education and preventing dropouts,WASH maintenance activities with high engagement with the earthquake affected refugee community to promote protection mainstreaming, diversity and inclusion, gender and cultural sensitivity during the interventions,Reaching out and mobilizing communities and youth for hygiene promotion, disaster preparedness, AAP, safeguarding and other areas for building resilience among refugee communitiesRESPONSIBILITIESField Implementation:Day-to-day assistance to project activities implemented in Hatay,Initiating and forming community committees in Hatay to promote meaningful participation of the communities to design, implementation and further development of the interventions,Monthly review of community committee expenditures and maintenance of up-to-date project plans based on activities and financial progress,Activity facilitate community and youth safe and meaningful participation, and the inclusion of refugee communities with sensitivity to age, gender, disability and cultureLiaise between programme and MEAL teams, to ensure that all necessary monitoring data is collected baseline and secondary data, reviews, endline surveys, internal/external evaluations, etc.; support developing / revising monitoring and evaluation tools in line with programme outcomes,Develop regular data analysis to share with Programme Coordinator and anticipate any potential challenges, related to achievement of project indicators,Actively contribute/co-lead the revision and implementation of a Community Engagement Strategy, and support the monitoring of protection risks and gaps throughout the project.Support implementation of awareness raising activities to promote education, hygiene promotion and disaster preparedness, and ensure mobilization of the communities to circulate the infoIdentify and document project learning, case studies and success stories; to disseminate learning on the humanitarian response within Concern more broadlySupport protection mainstreaming and child protection principles to be widespread while planning and implementing education and WASH activitiesCoordinate project activities with other Concern project managers, sector focal points and Hatay Area ManagerTechnical Programme Support Support development of capacity assessment and development tools,Revise and update activity materials and curricula for community committees and youth committees as necessary, in collaboration with local partners’ community and youth workers and Concern WASH teamDevelop and deliver ToT’s to local partner staff to support,Assist on providing technical guidance and training opportunities for community and youth workers, reviewing curricula and supplement materials and conducting visits to observe engagement activities,Promote sharing good practices between different committees,PartnershipsConduct regular calls to address challenges, answer questions, share good practices and provide updates; when possible, conduct monthly visits with local organisations,Coordinate with Partnership Manager to develop and conduct programme capacity building needs assessment and identify appropriate trainings to local organizations to support engagement activities.Other TasksBe aware of, understand, comply with and be a model of Concern's HR policies like P4 and Code of Conduct, and ensure that every member of the programme team as well as local partners are aware of, understand and comply with all of Concern's policies and procedures.Actively promote meaningful community participation and consultation at all stages of the project cycle planning, implementation, M&E.Work with relevant colleagues to ensure that the Complaints and Response Mechanism CRM is functional and accessible, that feedback and complaints are welcomed and addressed.Work with relevant colleagues to ensure that information about CRM, safeguarding and expected staff behaviour is disseminated among programme participants and communitiesTake active measures to address equality issues, particularly relating to gender, in program as well as operational activities.Ensure the highest stands of accountability through ensuring good communication and information sharing within and outside the organization.Minimum skills and experience Bachelor’s degree in education, social work, psychology, sociology or related subject area,Two years of experience of working in community-based protection, community mobilization, diversity and inclusion, youth work or relevant areas for a humanitarian organisation,Experience of delivering context-specific trainings to refugee community,Fluent in Arabic written and spoken and Turkish,We would also like:Fluency in English,Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook programmes,Familiarity with logistics, Finance and administrative processes,Demonstrated knowledge of the community-based protection,Well-developed problem solving, analysis and communication skills.The expected competencies includeMaintains confidentiality.High conceptual clarity and analytical skills;
