Business Development Manager (Airport)

We are looking for a 'Business Development Manager' who will find, develop, coordinate and manage airport project tenders and airport related business opportunities for our global business partner operating in the engineering construction industry.

Manage business development with understanding of all airport project phases including design, engineering, procurement, tender, construction, commissioning, hand-over, operation, maintenance and management ensuring full alignment with company standards and project requirements related to airports.

Knows very well airport components, special systems such as BHS, information management system, etc. and airport buildings and structures.

Ensuring all commercial strategies comply with local civil aviation authorities, environmental regulations, and government policies.

Serve as the primary contact between clients, partners, local authorities, and HQ to ensure effective communication and high client satisfaction in relation to airports.

Lead regular project review meetings, provide executive-level reporting, and ensure all project documentation is maintained to audit-ready standards.

Develop execution strategies and validate proposed budgets, business models and schedules to ensure project feasibility and competitiveness during the bid stage.

Conduct comprehensive risk assessments of tender documents and contract terms to identify potential liabilities and develop robust plans.

Collaborate with the Sales/Tendering team to lead technical proposals and provide expert input on subcontractor/partner selection to enhance bid quality.

Establish business tracking and monitor all airport related opportunities and have a very strong understanding of the airports and aviation market in Europe and Turkiye.

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering (Civil, Electrical or Mechanical preferred), Business, Aviation Management, Finance or Economics.

10+ years working in airport projects and business primarily in business development, with experience in the full life cycle including construction, operation, maintenance and management of airports.

Proven track record of developing airports business.

Experience working with major airports consultants.

Deep understanding of airport projects and lifecycle from design, tender, construction, management, operation and maintenance phases and related requirements.

Knowledge of overall airport management, key commercial operation aspects, airports finance, financial forecasting, specialized airport systems and airport M&A’s.

Familiarity with IATA and applicable airport regulations in the region.

Strong financial acumen: Budgeting, forecasting and business planning relating to airports.

Full professional proficiency in English.

Strong leadership and ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams.
