Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a computer-related field
• Experience as a teacher is a plus
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Drive to succeed
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing environment
• For foreign teachers: Diploma Equivalency Certificate issued by the Turkish Council of Higher Education (YÖK)
• For foreign teachers: Valid Turkish residence permit

Duties

• Evaluate students’ strengths and weaknesses, and devise and implement individual learning plans
• Promote the use of technology in the classroom
• Design lessons that incorporate technologies as appropriate
• Provide technical support to classrooms
• Work with school administrators to maintain equipment and resources
• Create instructional materials that incorporate new technologies
• Develop and adhere to school curriculum
• Meet with parents/guardians and students as needed
• Meet with other teachers to develop lesson plans and instructional materials
• Develop and maintain partnerships with community organizations
• Develop and maintain relationships with other school staff
• Coordinate school curriculum to meet academic standards.

Teacher Responsibilities

• Plan and administer a curriculum that prepares students for careers in Information Technology, including personal computer hardware and software, operating systems, networking, and programming
• Design, develop, implement, and maintain courseware for classroom and distance learning
• Adapt curriculum to meet the needs of learners
• Develop and manage a curriculum that is aligned with school standards and professional requirements
• Ensure that program objectives and curriculum goals are achieved and maintained
